What We Do
We provide a contingency, port-side ballast water treatment solution. We take ballast water from vessels with inoperable or non-compliant systems, treat it, and discharge it safely. This ensures that ballast water discharged at ports is treated for invasive biological pathogens.
Our Technology
The Ballast Water Treatment Technology of BAWAT A/S is the simplest and most efficient single-pass technology in the world.
Based on a proven pasteurization process, this technology uses standard components and systems that are widely used and understood in the maritime space, making it simple, easy and cost efficient to own and operate.
This technology does not use UV light which may be hampered by optical transmittance challenges and may add another failure point in the system.
This technology does not use filters, hazardous chemicals, or other additives that create an additional burden of treatment for discharge.
